7/6/2005: The details of the mid-Year meeting agenda are as follows. Please note that this is the first meeting with the new format of subcommittees on Sunday afternoon and the business meeting on Wednesday afternoon (due to the joint workshop with HCM on Tuesday/Wednesday), adding one day to the meeting length. Joint Summer Meeting of the TSS and HCQS Committees--Hotel and Registration Information

5/18/2005: The joint meeting is held between Sunday, July 10, 2005 - Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at the Harrah’s Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. The meeting includes one joint session with the Highway Capacity and Quality of Service (HCQS) committee. HCQS committee will have other items after the joint meeting and will continue to meet until Friday, July 15, 2005. You can register for the Traffic Signal Systems Committee or both as you choose.

2004 Triennial Strategic Plan

6/8/2004: The 2004 Triennial Strategic Plan has been posted. It consists of two parts: the Strategic Plan (34 KB ) and an Appendix (148 KB ).

2004 Mid-Year Meeting Registration

2004 Mid-Year Meeting Program

3/17/2004: The draft program (24 KB ) of the 2004 mid-year meeting is now available. The meeting will be held July 25-27 at the Novotel Hotel - North York in Toronto, Canada.

Attendees will be responsible for their own lodging arrangements. Hotel rooms have been reserved at a rate of Canadian $136 for single and double occupancy (king bed with pull-out).

Please call the Novotel Hotel - North York at (1) 416-733-2929 and mention the City of Toronto / Transportation Research Board when you register. Rooms will only be held until June 26th, 2004. There are a limited number of rooms available, so please make your reservation soon.

2004 Best Paper Award

2/15/2004: Peter Koonce chaired a subcommittee that evaluated papers sponsored by the Signal Systems Committee for presentation at the 2004 TRB Annual Meeting in January 2004. The subcommittee selected the paper titled "Red Clearance Intervals: Theory and Practice" (357 KB ) by Theo Muller, Thomas Dijker (both from Delft University of Technology) and Peter Furth (from Northeastern University). Congratulations to the authors!
